A Wide Area Network is a computer network in which interconnected computing devices do not reside in the same building. Organizations may have employees and computing devices as close as across the street, in a different city, or as far off as a different country. Depending on distance, line of sight availability and budget, computer networks may be joined together by wireless point-to-point or point-to-multi point devices, site-to-site VPN’s or cloud based MPLS.
