Due to Microsoft’s deprecation of the cross-signing program, ESET will need to fully transition to using Azure Code Signing. Support for Azure Code Signing is present in all releases of Windows 11 and Windows 10 version 21H2 and later. Previous releases of Windows 10 and other Windows operating systems need to have installed respective KBs, first released in September and October 2021, which introduce the signing.
Windows and Windows Server users need the applicable operating system updates to install or upgrade affected ESET products (ESET Endpoint Security and ESET Server Security) released after the end of July 2023. Without the necessary operating system updates, it will not be possible to install or upgrade ESET products (including security and stability updates).
Please note that there are also older Windows OS that no longer have support from Microsoft.
