Please beware of fake Zoom Web sites which lure you into downloading a fake Zoom applet in order to hack into your computer. According to The Register, a criminal gang has created several fake Zoom Web sites which look like the real site and which aim to download Vidar trojan horse, disguised as a Zoom applet.

Make sure you do not follow links from unexpected Zoom invites via e-mail. Always check the URL to make sure that the domain name zoom.com is in boldface so that you know you are on the real site.

For help in identifying phishing sites, attend our live, interactive Cybersecurity training course which is offered free of charge on a quarterly basis or preview one of our pre-recorded training videos.
